New Release - Her Majesty

That goes for me as well as my characters! As a man, I confess to finding great enjoyment in the love that occurs between two women. Or lust...hey, I'm not fussy! Whether that be in the form of film, pictures or words, all forms of sexual love between women holds a fascination for me. Because le sigh.

So, while I've written girly love before, and I'd written curvy women before, I'd never truly written girly love involving a curvy woman. That's what this story is about. It's also a friends-to-lovers tale, and I'm a sucker for those.

I've had a wonderful response already to this story, even from women who don't ordinarily read FF stories. That heartens me greatly, and makes me keener than ever to get more stories out!

But enough of that: here's the low down on the book...

Short, skinny tomboy Kim hasn’t had a boyfriend for a while. In fact, not since she fell in love with her best friend. The trouble is, her best friend is Serena, a beautiful, big Italian goddess who’s engaged to be married.

Or was, at least. Until yesterday, when her fiancé finally confessed to myriad infidelities, laying the blame squarely on the size of Serena’s curvaceous ass.

As emotional therapy, the girls head away for a long weekend at a remote beach house. Just the two of them. No guys, no work, no distractions.

No inhibitions.

Can Kim work past her own fear and body issues to remind Serena just how damn sexy she really is?

This story marks the first (but DEFINITELY NOT the last) time I used the editing services of Lisabet Sarai. I'd previously made a series of covers for Lisabet (see below), but this was my introduction to her incredible editing skills. In some cases she made some tiny tweaks which really helped clarify the meaning of my words - even if it was just to question what the hell I'd meant to say! More than one reader has said "Her Majesty" is their favourite book of mine so far. I put that down to the wonderful refinement that comes from working with such a skilled editor. Thank you, Lisabet! And folks, definitely check out Lisabet's writing. It's as clever and poignant as it is sexy. Mm-mmm.

New Release - Throttle

I've been a busy busy boy, lately. Cover art has been going off the hook. It's been an amazing ride, and not just for me.

This is Sassie Lewis. Not just a lovely person and a creative and talented author...but a bit of a hottie as well.

And you know what else? I got to pop her cherry.

Uh-huh. That's right. I just made the cover for her very first book.

Wait...what did you THINK I meant?

Yes, Sassie has just published her first novella, an erotic romance with a gorgeous curvy heroine and a gravelly older hero. I've read some of the sex in this baby, and I guarantee you it's a scorcher!

But don't just listen to the blurb!

No Surrender...

Sin is a man who lives by his own rules. Large and in charge, he takes what he wants and makes no apologies about it. Running his custom bike shop and raising his son are the only things he's ever cared about. That is, until a full-bodied goddess crosses his path.

No Regrets...

Georgia’s the forbidden fruit custom built for temptation. He knew she was off limits, for more than one reason, but there’s only so long he can fight his desires. When he ignores the rules and claims her, what price will he pay for that one taste of perfection?

I've had a massive influx of cover art over the past month or two, and I was despairing whether I'd be able to get it all done. So I decided to do something about it.

Welcome to February, 2015: also know as WiCoMaMo. Willsin Cover Making Month.

At the end of January I decreed publicly, on Facebook, that I had set myself the goal of completing 28 covers in February. An average of one per day.

Well, today, February 18th, I surpassed that goal. At time of typing I have completed 32 covers in February!

I'm still up to my nipples in work, but at least I'm belting it into shape!

If you're interested in checking them out, here's the link to the album on my Facebook profile.

Did you know that people are still pirating books? Sorry for the intensely shocking news there, folks. I hope I didn't give any of you heart attacks.

But yes...there are some folks out there who try to get things for free instead of paying! I KNOW, RIGHT? WHO'DA THUNK?

So what do we, as authors, artists, musicians etc. do about this? Well, to my knowledge, I've barely been targeted. After all, I'm much more known for cover art than writing at the moment, though I've been a published author since 2006. If someone pirates a book with my cover art it has no direct effect on me at all. I've already been paid.

I used to get supremely indignant at the thought of people pirating my work. "That's food they're taking out of my kids' mouths!" kind of indignant. But the longer I go on in publishing, the less I feel that way.

Firstly - the people who steal books are almost certainly the kind of people who would never have bought it anyway. So it's not lost income in that respect. It's money you weren't going to get, that you didn't get.

Secondly - you can do everything in your power, individually and collectively, to bring down any and all websites where your books are being distributed illegally. And then tomorrow you'll do the same thing again with all the NEW sites doing the same thing. Sending out notices to pirates can easily become your ONLY job.

So is it worth fighting? Morally and ethically, absolutely. Practically, though? Hmm...

I've seen lots of theories, and based on what I've read from much bigger authors like Selena Kitt, I've come up with my own half-baked analogy. It almost involves Patrick Swayze.

It’s like in the movie “Roadhouse”. Bodhi signs on to do his job as head bouncer. This puts him in a situation where people can, and do, choose to abuse him. For just doing his job and trying to regulate their bad behaviour.

Every night he goes to the parking lot and finds all his car’s tyres slashed. But he has four spares in his trunk and inside the car. He shakes his head wryly and gets on with the job of changing the tyres.
He goes into his work KNOWING this crap is going to happen, and preparing for it.

Sure, he could stand outside and watch his car, making sure nobody slashes the tyres. But then, he wouldn’t be doing his job as head bouncer. Which in turn gives nobody any reason to slash his tyres. All he will achieve is stopping the tyre-slashing. And he'd lose his job.

We can try to fight the pirates, but it’s much bigger than even the biggest author.

I understand this would come across as a defeatist attitude. But I can’t afford to spend all my time protecting my tyres. I have bouncing to do.

Guest Post - All Steamed Up!

I posted on my Facebook a little while back that I was unsure of my future in cover art. Things outside of my control meant I was left in the lurch by two different authors.

But despite the rumours, I never intended quitting cover art. I just needed to reconfigure my operations.

And I'm really glad to still be working on covers, because it meant I had the opportunity to make this little beauty! Yes, okay, I made it and I'm not being particularly humble. And hey, maybe it won't appeal to everyone...but it's one of my favourites of all time, and that's from more than 5 years making covers, and in excess of 500 pieces to choose from.

This is actually a revamp for the old La Romance Torride bundle, but I was very pleased to have the opportunity to make this new cover as well. And it's all up and on sale now!

Guest Post - Jennifer Lynne

Heart's Destiny
by Jennifer Lynne

Release date: 4 December 2014
Genre/Length: Light erotic romance (M/F), 23,500 word novella

Eve Perroniʼs quest to find her past leaves no time for love, until a chance prediction leads to the seductive Ky Ransom and a destiny that could make—or break—both their hearts.
Reeling from the death of her mother and the realization that she was adopted, Eve Perroni embarks on a quest to find her birth family. A chance encounter with a mysterious fortune-teller leads her to the Australian bush and Cavanagh Cottage, the birthplace of her infamous outlaw ancestor. She intends to research and write the story of her past, but in doing so finds herself in direct conflict with charismatic developer Kyan Ransom—the very man she has been told will fulfil her heart’s desire for a future centered around family…if she will just allow herself to love him.
Ky needs Cavanagh Cottage almost as much as Eve, and he has the money to get what he wants. Every single time. Can these two souls on a collision course find the true love that has been predicted, when everything they are searching for could be snatched away at any moment?
Heart’s Destiny was first published as part of the multi-author boxed set, Seduction - One Fortune at a Time (Cupid Publishing, 2 Sept 2014). This individual novella edition contains several expanded scenes.

Short Adult-rated (18+) Excerpt from Heart's Destiny:
What would it feel like, to be trapped beneath someone like you? To hand over power and control, to be totally at your mercy, thrashing in a parody of escape, only to have every thrusting movement drive you deeper, make you harder. Send you over the edge, taking me with you…
Longer Adult-rated (18+) Excerpt from Heart's Destiny:
Waves of sensation kept washing through her body. She couldn’t stop shaking, especially when he stood, grabbed her butt cheeks and lifted her up in the air, and then straight down onto his waiting cock. There was no finesse. No delicate prodding to ensure the breach was gentle. No chance to change her mind. He was big, and she was out of practice, but the force of his thrust as well as their combined sex fluids aided his entry. Her eyes widened and she clutched at his shoulders to maintain balance. His guttural groan, and the pressure of his organ rooted so deep inside her, ignited little flames within her womb. She wrapped her legs around his hips, and hooked her ankles together behind his back.
Don’t think. Just feel.
He took a step forward and lay her on the table top, their bodies still joined. When he bent to kiss her, she could taste her own fluids on his lips and tongue. It mingled with his flavor to create a heady aphrodisiac that ramped up her need ten-fold. She sucked in his tongue, forcing it deep in a parody of what they were already doing. He moaned down in his throat with a vulnerable sound that she swallowed into oblivion.
The thrust when he fucked her was harder than she’d ever felt, and she broke off the kiss to release her own pent-up moans. “Ky.” She couldn’t say anything beyond his name. There was so much going on, not only physically but in her mind and her soul. It’s too much. All she could do was go with this moment, let him fuck her, until there was nothing left but this gorgeous creature hammering into her body with a force that rasped the flesh of her back along the wooden table. Pain. Pleasure. Up and down. Over and over. Pounding. Grunting. Groaning.
“Oh my God, Eve.” He was shuddering, she could feel it in his limbs. His eyes were so dark with hunger they were close to black. His hands clamped around her wrists and imprisoned her arms somewhere above her head. “You’re incredible.”
“I’m just…” She could hardly get the words out. “Lying here.”
“But so fucking sexy, spread out over the table.” He pounded again and she dug her heels into his ass cheeks, trying to force him deeper still. “I can smell your need. I can see it in your face.”
Their combined scent was wafting around them. “I can smell it too.” She wanted to touch him, to explore the straining muscles of his body as he continued to move, but he wouldn’t let go of her wrists. She groaned and fisted her hands. “Let me…I can’t…oh please, help me forget, Ky. I don’t want to feel anything except you.”
It was like someone else had taken over her body and was encouraging her to do and say things that were not of her own free will. Part of her stayed separate from the raging need, watching with a sense of dismay as she gave up her body to his. Not him. Not here, and not like this.

Guest Post - V.K. Black

I love having my fellow Aussie authors here on Willsin's World - even more so when it's an author I've met in person! Please stand and give a hearty hip-hip-hooray for the lovely V.K. Black!

* * * * *

Willsin, thank you so much for having me on your blog and giving me the opportunity to talk about my latest release, Unexpected Places, published by Escape Publishing.

This sexy action romance was great fun to write. I mixed together the vibes from three of my favourite movies, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Six Days and Seven Nights, and Romancing the Stone. Then added a little Australian flair and a pinch of spicy food. Stirred thoroughly. And… I can't think of another cooking analogy.

Anyway, the result was Unexpected Places. ☺

One treasure map; a pair of priceless emeralds; two very keen hunters — only one can win, but who says that competition can’t be a little fun?
When sweet, pretty Ariana Noonan knocks out treasure hunter Luke Donahue with a champagne bottle and steals his treasure map, he vows to get his map back, find the missing priceless emeralds…and exact a fitting revenge.
When Luke finally discovers Ariana in a dingy hotel on a remote tropical island, she’s in desperate straits and he finally gains the upper hand. Of course he will rescue her. His price? They act on the attraction that’s been simmering between them from the very beginning.
But all is not as it seems, and Luke’s sexy bargain turns up not only an unbelievable secret, but Ariana’s reasons for wanting the emerald. Suddenly, nothing is clear-cut anymore, and map or no map, Luke and Ariana are sailing into uncharted territory.

Because I'm trusting your readers will be able to handle a little swearing, Willsin, I've included this excerpt, when Luke finds Ariana.

Luke stood with his hand on the doorknob, his back to her.
As he turned, he let Ariana see the victory he knew was written on his face. Her eyes widened as he let her consider it, absorb it. He’d won. She’d lost. His eyes caressed her face, her body. He grinned, as he saw full comprehension hit her. Time for the winner to take the spoils. ‘Now this is where my revenge gets interesting, sweetheart. Yes, I’ll get you off this island. But you have to pay the price.’
And she would have a good idea of what that price might be. No need to be nasty. Just take what he wanted. Shit, she fucked men for a living. And he knew she wanted it too. She’d wanted him in Sydney, and he knew she’d enjoyed checking him out when he arrived here in her nasty little room.
Luke strolled toward her and placed his hand at the small of her back, drawing her up to him, till the hard line of his body pressed against her soft breasts. She was so tiny. Fragile. The word echoed uneasily in his mind and he argued with it. I’m not going to hurt her. He’d make it good for her, he swore.
Though he’d make sure he kept her well away from the emeralds once he found them. As he stared down into her wary eyes, he couldn’t resist reaching out and caressing her soft cheek.
What the hell was he doing? Getting all soft and cuddly with a piranha? Ariana had that sweet, vulnerable act down pat. He reached around and, grabbing her delectable bottom, dragged her small, curvy body against his.
‘The deal is, Moonbeam, I’ll take care of you, and get you home eventually. But I’ll keep the emeralds when I find them.’ As he let his hands roam up to her narrow shoulders and then down the curve of her hips and back to her cute, sexy backside, he decided he might as well spell out all her duties. ‘And you’ll take care of me. You’ll cook for me and serve me my drinks.’ He enjoyed the way she stiffened and narrowed her eyes. He grinned. ‘But your main duty will be me. You’ll give me sex any time I want it. Any way I want it.’
